SYNOPSIS: When the patriarch of the Turpin family keels over, his eccentric family gathers for an old-fashioned Southern funeral. Mourners include his not-so-grieving widow, who wants to put “mean and surly” on his tombstone; sons Ray-Bud and Junior, who are both dealing with nagging wives and financial woes; and daughter Delightful, who copes with his death by filling up on junk food. Amidst the chaos, Bible-toting Aunt Marguerite shows up with her lazy, good-for-nothing son, Royce.
